My first 65 PRC was a MPR. Ive got the MPR in 300 wm. When Im doing my job I can consistently hit sub MOA with the rifle and can hit 10 steel at 1200 yards.
The rifle combines the precision of a competition rifle with the in-the-field functionality of a fine hunting rifle. I dont hand load but have no doubt this dude could do even better. The Modern Precision Rifle is an ultra-lightweight chassis rifle designed to break with tradition.

Initial caliber offerings are 65 Creedmoor and 308 Win available in a variety of barrel lengths. Although precision is in the name this isnt a true long-range platform due to the short barrel length so a medium-magnification optic that minimizes excess weight is ideal. We can safely say after extensive range-testing that the MPR is an extremely accurate and consistent rifle delivering the same amount of precision in every shot.
And 5 shot strings only opened up a little more to around 65-7. It shoots everything I put it in. It delivered 18 groups at 200 yards and it did so persistently.
Makes for a better pack. The MPR is also guaranteed to shoot sub MOA with quality ammunition. Best 3 shot groups are around 3 and average is just below 6 with HPH ammo.
It is a straight up shooter and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a 65 creed MPR and it shoots lights out. Those were still only at 2800-2900 fps.
Until someone builds a much superior rifle the MPR is my first choice when my hunting shots are likely to be 300 yards or more. While not for every shooter short bolt-action pistols like the Christensen Arms Modern Precision Pistol are perfect for backpacking backcountry hunting or simply fun on the range. Part of the appeal of the Christensen Arms MPP is its light weight so for an optic I chose the Maven RS2 2-10x38mm which balances well with the MPP.
